Bacon (or baconless) Spaghetti
This is one of two recipes that came from John's mother, Alice Bishop.
The other one is Grandma's Goulash. Notice the similar ingredients.

½ lb. bacon
2 medium onions (or whole bag of frozen chopped onions)
bunch of celery
3 28oz. cans tomatoes (crushed)
1 ts chili pwd
1 ts salt

1. Cut up bacon, fry til crisp, remove to drain on paper, save grease.
     [Or, use Microwave bacon]

2. Chop celery and onion, fry in grease til glazed, remove to drain on paper, discard grease.
     [Or, cook celery and onion in 1/2 cup water and 1 tsp. beef bullion] 

3. Combine bacon, celery, onion, tomatoes (cut up), and seasoning in dutch oven.

4. Cook half covered 4-6 hours on low simmer, stirring occasionally.

Serve over spaghetti noodles.
