Grandma's Goulash

1 7-ounce package Creamettes, cooked as directed, drained, and rinsed
1# ground beef, browned
# bacon, cut in 1" pieces, fried (save grease)
3 sm or 2 lg onions, chopped
1 bunch of celery, chopped
1 28 ounce can tomatoes
1 can Campbell's Tomato Soup
Salt and pepper to taste

Fry bacon and remove from grease. Fry chopped celery and chopped onion in bacon grease until glazed. Remove grease. Mix all ingredients: Creamettes, ground beef, fried bacon, celery, onions, tomatoes, tomato soup, salt and pepper. Bake at 350" in 9x13 pan, uncovered, until heated through, 30-40 minutes.

Jill's Variation:  For a healthier dish, Jill cooked the celery and chopped onion in water and beef bouillon rather than bacon grease.

John's Variation:  For a more flavorful dish, John cooked the celery and chopped onion in olive oil (not bacon grease because he used microwave bacon) and beef bouillon.
