Sour Cream Coffee Cake

1 c. butter 
2 Tbs. sugar
2 eggs, beaten 
1 c. sour cream
1 ts vanilla 
2 c. sifted flour
1 ts. baking pwd
ts baking soda 
Topping
c. sugar 
c. finely chopped nuts
ts. cinnamon

 

Confectioner's Sugar

Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs, sour cream, and vanilla. Beat well and gradually add sifted flour, baking pwd, and soda. Place half of mixture in buttered 9" spring-form pan (or angelfood pan), and sprinkle with half of topping mixture. Place remaining dough on top and sprinkle with remaining topping.

Bake 350" for 1 hour or until knife comes out clean. Sprinkle confectioners sugar on top while still hot. Cool before cutting.
